Kitty Play Negotiation List

NEGOTIATION LISTS
Negotiation lists are used for a variety of purposes. If you're new to D/s, BDSM, ARP (animal role play) or hell, even just with a new partner, I HIGHLY suggest using one. For starters, especially if you're new to all of this, it helps you see what's out there for options and gets you thinking. As for those of you who are already familiar with everything, it helps you get a grasp on your needs/wants and limits, as well as getting acquainted to the limits of your new partner.

Now, this negotiation list is strictly for kitty play. I based it off of a puppy play negotiation list found here: Puppy Play Pride Negotiation List with permission of Scamp, one of the creators. There are many other lists out there. I'm sure if you dig hard enough you'll find another one for kitty play someplace else, but I have no idea where that would be. There are also numerous ones for BDSM which are very good and very detailed, which is why there is little to no BDSM content on this list. Feel free to print this out, share it, or even adapt it for your own play, especially if you are a different animal such as a bunny, pig or horse.

**NOTE**

A lot of the things on this list are things that, depending on your relationship, may be dictated by your Master/Owner when you first begin ARP. Keep in mind this is just something to get you started, and/or to help you get a .."grip" on what may be expected of you as a kitty.

Name

What is your legal name?
What do you want to be called as a kitty?
Or would you rather your Owner name you?
What nicknames are OK?

KITTY'S PERSONALITY

KITTY'S AGE:

* Young kitten

* Fully grown adult kitty

* Protective
* Nurturing
* Submissive
* Feisty

OWNER/MASTER ROLE:

As a kitty, what do you from your Owner/Master?

PSYCHOLOGY

Will you take on a kitty headspace? (in other words, will you "be" a kitty. This can be anything from using a litter box instead of a toilet, to always being on hands an knees, never speaking and only meowing)

Do you need a cue to enter kitty space? If so, describe. (e.g. Using your kitty name, tossing a toy, etc.)

Do you need to be “forced” into being a kitty? If so, under what circumstances? (Physical, mental coercion , etc.)

Do you need anything special to bring you out of kitty space? Do you need any special care when brought out of kitty space? If so, describe. (e.g. What forms of aftercare do you need?)

Do you require:

* Humiliation
* Praise
* Discipline / Correction
* Punishment
* Ambivalence
* Companionship

Exposure:

* Public Play (e.g. going to the park on a leash)

What types of discipline and/or humiliation are NOT ok?

Will you do different things as a kitty, versus as a human? If so, what are they? (e.g. Sex is okay as human, but not as kitty.)

GENDER IDENTIFICATION

This varies so much from person to person, that it might be helpful to write your expectations here. Would you like to be treated as a boy kitty or a girl kitty? What does this mean to you?

BREED

What breed are you? (While this would pertain a lot more to other animals, you never really know. Perhaps you're more of a neko [google if your friend if you don't' know what that is] than a "real" cat. Or perhaps you're a large cat like a tiger, or puma.)

KITTY SPEACH

As a kitty will you:

* Whimper
* Mewl
* Purr
* Growl
* Partial Human Speech (“Need kitty master?”, like a kid type voice voice)
* Full Human Speech (“How may I serve you tonight, master?”)

GEAR

What kind of gear will you wear? Make a note next to items to indicate that you own it or it needs to be provided for you. Keep in mind there is not much out there for kitty play, so a lot of stuff you either need to purchase and then alter, or completely make yourself. Also keep in mind comfort/safety gear if you want to or intend to spend a lot of time in kitty mode. If you will be spending a lot of time on hands and knees, perhaps knee pads would be something to consider.

Hoods:

* Kitty ears
* Basic leather hood
* None

Mitts:

* Fist mitts
* Foot mitts
* Locking mitts
* Boots
* None

Tail End:

* Vinyl / Plastic
* Denim
* Nude
* Fur (parts of your "costume")
* Fur Suit (complete)
* Casual (whatever you normally wear)

OTHER:
TOYS AND PROPS

BDSM:

If you intend to do a lot of BDSM, I suggest finding a full BDSM negotiation list to fill out, but this is a good start to give you an idea of what can be/is a part of BDSM play.

* Spanking/Corporal (e.g. whipping, caning)
* Bondage
* Electrical (e.g. violet wands)
* Sensation Play (e.g. cold, hot, sensory deprivation)
* Clips, Clamps, and Pinchy Things (e.g. nipple clamps, clothes pins, etc)

Sex Toys:

* Dildos
* Vibrators
* Butt Plugs

Kitty Toys:

* Batting Toys (e.g. mice, balls, etc)
* Teasers (e.g. Feathers, things hanging from a wand or stick)
* Chew Toys
* Tug of War Toys
* Windup Toys to Chase
* Squeak Toys
* Water / Food Dish
* Kitty Bed (If you are small enough, large dog beds would work. Otherwise here's something else you'd have to get specially made.
* Kennel/Cage(Again, either a large dog one, or a specially made one would work)

Food:
The most important thing here, and I cannot stress this enough is your HEALTH! While it would be really fun, and very submissive to actually eat cat food and treats for a day, a weekend at the most, they are cat food. The best thing in my mind is to use human food cut up, made to look like cat food, or something similar. There are many foods which can be made easy to eat from pet dishes. As for treats, it is easy to find animal cookie cutters, and make your own homemade treats. Something that, in my opinion, would work well is "puppy chow."

* Regular Human Food
* Chili / Chunky Soup / Spam
* Leftovers
* Cookies (broken up, cut with animal cutter, etc.)
* Wet Cat Food
* Dry Cat Food
* Cat Treats

Toileting:

How will your toileting needs be handled as a kitty?

* Break scene and use the toilet as human
* Litter box training
* Outdoors
* Anywhere
* Diapers
* Aim for the toilet
* Enemas
* Butt Plugs

How should toileting be handled differently for urination as opposed to defecation? (e.g. Urinate outside but break scene to defecate in a toilet.)

SAFEWORDS:
Safewords and gestures are extremely important! In my opinion, you MUST have. My Owner even has one. Especially when it is something new, you never know 100% how you will handle the situation. The safeword is there to keep you, and everybody involved SAFE. If something goes wrong, if something is done or said that pushes you over the edge, makes it a situation you are unable to cope with, the safeword is a cue to your Owner that something has gone wrong and things must be stopped NOW so the situation can be addressed. Some also use the "slow down" safeword. In my experience, this is mainly for physical play such as whippings or canings. It means to either slow down the activity, so allow you more time to cope between strikes, or to change the activity completely such as from whippings to spankings. It is also very important, that if you are ever gagged to have a safe gesture, such as a bell to ring, or something loud to drop for your Owner to know to stop the activity.
